Wallace Immen has lived in Cabbagetown since 1972 and was part of the protest that prevented the demolition of the historic houses on Sherbourne between Gerrard and Dundas. He and his wife have spent more than 30 years restoring an 1870 row house on Gerrard E. He is an amateur historian, and as a professional writes columns for The Globe and Mail. He has photographed every home in Cabbagetown and currently he is taking on the task of writing up the historical information for the Cabbagetown area south of Carlton to Dundas and west of Parliament for submission as an HCD proposal.
