The Cabbagetown Preservation Association (CPA) is responsible for several educational programs that aim at interpreting Cabbagetown’s heritage and the significant achievements of our past, present and future residents as well as the history of the area and its stock of buildings and landmarks. In addition, the CPA is responsible for the funding towards the ongoing development and maintenance of this website; an online resource tool designed to assist with the preservation of Cabbagetown and to celebrate our vibrant past. Without their sponsorship, community resources such as this would not exist. The committee is proud to have the CPA as a partner and we look forward to collaborating with them on projects such as the annual Cabbagetown Tour of Homes, held each fall. TD Bank Group has provided critical financial assistance towards the study of Cabbagetown Southwest, an area currently under consideration for Heritage Conservation District designation. Their sponsorship was key in the hiring of a research student, Hilary Vaillancourt, who assisted the Cabbagetown Heritage Advisory Committee with the study during the summer of 2010. Without their support, community projects such as this would not be possible. The committee is proud to have TD Bank Group and their Parliament Street Branch part of the community since their opening on September 10, 2010.
